Vanda Orchid

Type: Epiphytic.

vanda orchid Features: Single stem with fleshy aerial roots and leaves in two ranks — no pseudobulb. Upright or pendent stalks carry several 7.5- 12cm (3-5in) wide flowers with equally sized sepals and petals, in shades of mauve, blue, pink or cream, often with netted markings. 

Size: 30-60cm (1-2ft) high, often much taller.

Special needs: Bright but filtered light; warm to intermediate temp.; water plentifully during growth; rest all winter.
