POLYSTICHUM

Polystichum setigerum (syn. P. annulare), 2 to 3 ft., one of the best ferns for the shady garden. Its luxuriant evergreen fronds arise from a nest of rusty membranous scales.

The many varieties and forms of this elegant plant are all good and since they are unaffected by extreme seasonal variations, they increase in size and beauty year after year.
