Cattleya Orchid

Type: Epiphytic. 

Cattleya Orchid Features: Upright pseudobulbs mostly up to 25cm (10in) tall, each topped by one or two fleshy leaves. Flowers appear singly or in groups on stalks at the top of the stems. They are 7.5 – 15cm (3-6in) across, waxy and fleshy in pseudobulb with a broad tongue-shaped, often fringed, lip. Petal colour ranges from white, through pink, magenta, lilac and crimson-purple to yellow or orange. 

Size: 60 x 30cm (2 x 1ft) long. 

Special needs: As for x Brassolaeliocattleya; high humidity.
